What Membership Means
Practitioner membership is designed for organizations that plan, finance, permit, design, build, own, operate, or advise housing development. This includes developers; owners and operators; architecture and engineering firms; law firms; capital providers; and other partners whose work directly shapes project feasibility and delivery.
What Members Get
Participate in a bipartisan network advancing practical, pro-housing solutions at the federal level.
Inform priorities with the constraints and opportunities you see on the ground, such as financing, delivery timelines, regulatory barriers, risk, and feasibility, so federal action supports results in communities.
What We Ask of National Members
UFG membership is not transactional. It is a commitment to work collectively to advance federal policies and partnerships that expand housing supply and improve affordability nationwide.
Share relevant datasets, analyses, surveys, case studies, or market insights that help inform housing supply research, narrative development, or federal engagement. This may include providing anonymized examples, participating in data convenings, or offering technical validation to strengthen the evidence base.
Engage selectively in collective actions such as sign-on letters, joint outreach, coordinated engagement with federal policymakers, and aligned communications when timing, scale, and message discipline are most impactful.

Practitioner membership is intentionally flexible, but it carries shared commitments. Practitioner members agree to undertake at least one of the following activities, consistent with their legal status and organizational practices:
