The Housing Policy and Affordability Calculator is an interactive scenario-analysis tool that equips local governments with data to design and calibrate policies to increase the supply and reduce the cost of housing. Our calculators are developed in collaboration with multi-stakeholder local advisory committees and grounded in real estate market economics.

In May 2019, Up for Growth launched its Housing Policy and Affordability Calculator for Seattle, Washington. Since then, we have released calculators for Charlotte, North Carolina, Portland, Oregon, and Austin, Texas. We are currently upgrading our calculators to improve the user experience and add new features. Watch this space, as we plan to release our upgraded tools in mid-2023.Sponsors
